Are We Becoming Too Formal?

Person 1: Hi
Person 2: Hello
Person 1: How are you?
Person 2: Fine thanks, you?
Person 1: Yeah im good
Person 2: What you been up to?
Person 1: Nothing much, you?
Person 2: Same
....................................... Long Pause, 2-3 hours later
Person 1: ok i g2g ill seeya later
Person 2: Yeah seeya, nice chatting with ya

Is this you? Is it just me or do these sorta conversations happen way to often, are we getting to the point where we either know a person to well or to little to actualy strike up a decent conversation, Surely there must be something to say......

This is a major reason i dont usualy talk on msn, what is written above happens a lot and whats the point, the point of a conversation is to socialise, learn about that person and maybe have a sronger relationship grow over time.

If you have conversations like these on a messenger of any kind, make a difference and actualy say something of interest, or if you receive this sort of message try to reply with something meaningful and actualy make the effort...whats the worst that could happen, your computer may explode where u have actualy used it??, you make a new friend who actualy wants to spend time with you?!

Btw just because i wrote this doesnt mean u can message me, im a very busy person!!
